The pinout configuration of the dock connector is listed on this page. The goal is, of course, to tap the line out in the dock and run it to those nice shiny capacitors that you just bought. There’s a whole discussion here about which capacitors sound the best though the Black Gates have probably the best size to performance ratio.

is it worth it?
On the forums, some people have completed the mod successfully but complain that the sound quality sounds about the same as it did through the headphone jack or through the lineout sans modding while others have claimed that there is a significant boost in quality in the sound especially with the addition of custom capacitors. There is ongoing discussion in the thread about this topic, but I believe many head-fiers are of the opinion that this is an effective mod if only for the peace of mind of knowing that there is a direct connection from the DAC to an external amp of your choice and that you can ensure that the signal is unadulterated.
More time will tell and I will keep this section updated as the discussion continues.
